Opening party Thursday 27th of February at 18:00.. Welcome!

In Pirkka magazine’s column ”Lifehack Pirkka” there once was the following tip: one should place odd objects on the coffee table. They could then be used to start a conversation with guests, in case it proves to be otherwise difficult.

With objects it is possible to plan ahead conversations and their mood-sets. When the mood-set is right, You get a right amount of right mood.

Ever since my childhood I have been setting up objects on shelves in a fine way, so that their rhythm is right. When objects are right, things are alright. When the objects are great, things are great.

I have been picking up the parts of the sculptures of this exhibition from here and there during the past years without any certain purpose. Now I use them as a material to build works, which form a playful and meandering whole. It creates an atmosphere where spectator can adjust themselves.

In some cases I´m more frank. For example, the painting ”Does Ufos Exist?” means just what its title says.

There are also aquarelles of beach views. They are memories of a trip to the Balkan peninsula last autumn. The biggest difference is the video installation at the furthest room downstairs. It is an artist potrait of my colleague Erkki Nampajärvi.
